ANZSHM is a learned Society dedicated to sharing all aspects of the history of health – including the professions of dentistry, medicine, nursing, pharmacology, allied health, and medical science – and health themes within history.

ANZSHM has an emphasis on medicine and health in the Australian, New Zealand and the Pacific region, while many members also have major interests in European, Oriental, Middle Eastern and Classical Medicine.

ANZSHM members include professional and amateur historians, clinicians interested in the history of their disciplines, and people interested in health practice through the centuries.

WHAT’S ON

Special lectures, seminars, reading groups, biennial conferences, regular meetings and other events are hosted by ANZSHM, its branches (ANZSHM NSW Branch and MHSV), members, and kindred organisations.
